April Link Dump
April 27th, 2007A quick purge of pages before the virtual Post-it® starts overflowing:
aqua teen hunger force colon movie film for theaters - Low Bandwidth- Another contribution towards preserving some endangered GIFs!
- White- (or green, or blue, or yellow) label Dabble
- The site can automatically create a customised colour scheme by analysing an uploaded logo image; a really nice idea that’s not particularly difficult to implement (will they patent it? Has it already been patented?).
- Most HTML templating languages are written incorrectly
- This is the very first thing I tackled when creating my framework; everything displayed is encoded by default.
- kuler
- Browse and share colour schemes.
fr-041: debris (YouTube video)- I’ve never been a huge fan of the ‘demo scene’ (it can be frustrating seeing talented people work on things that could/should be proper games/apps), but when you see something like this achieved in 177KB you can’t help but be won over.
- 12 Breeds of Client and How to Work with Them
- I’ve been incredibly lucky and not had a truly difficult client for years. I still have nightmares about spinning logos, missing copy and ‘liquid metal effect’ text though.
- A CSS Sticky Footer
- A handy code snippet, although slightly glitchy in Safari when resizing the window.
- Frameworkers
- A photo that illustrates the spectrum I recently described, but for client-side coding.
- Sylvester - Vector and Matrix math for JavaScript
- Having lost track of what on earth was going on with vector algebra at university once it started getting really abstract, I doubt I’ll ever use this.
